Yuri Jimenez

He begins practicing martial arts at the age of 12. Tae Kwon Do and Judo (with Armando Chavero and Gerardo Marrazzo respectively).

At the age of 18 he began to practice Kung Fu with Dai Shi Zhe and Fu Shun Nan obtaining in 1989 the black belt in the Wutan styles: Tang Lang Quan, Pachi Quan, Pigua Zhang, Tai Chi Quan, Xin Yi Quan and Bagua Zhang. He used to spend several hours at the School, before and after classes, during this time he was able to learn deeply about the styles, forms and philosophy from the masters. He is accepted as formal disciple of master Dai Shi Zhe.

In 2006 he obtained the International Instructor certificate from the “Chinese Taipei Tang Lang Chuen Association” presented by master Dai Shi Zhe.

In 2006 master Dai Shi Zhe granted him the representation as master of the IUN HAI WU TANG TAIWAN in Venezuela, being able to grant any degree on behalf of the organization.

Yuri Jimenez has been teaching for more than 30 years. Currently he has formed two groups of Disciples through the Baisi Ceremony, having Luis Mendez as his senior disciple. His great dedication and deep study make Master Yuri Jimenez one of the exponents with the greatest knowledge within the Wutan lineage under GM Dai Shi Zhe outside of Taiwan, not only with the routines of the forms of all Wutan styles and their applications but with the philosophy, ceremonies and all aspects related to our lineage, being a reference and body of consultation for everyone who currently practices in a traditional way.
