Liu Yun Qiao (1909 – 1992)

Liu Yun Qiao 劉雲樵, one of the most significant kung fu teachers of the modern time, was born in Beitou Village, Cangzhou County, Hebei Province of China. Liu was a weak child with several health problems. His father hired a Kung Fu instructor to improve his son’s health. At the age of five Liu started his first training with a teacher Chang Yao Ting who was also a family bodyguard, and he taught the boy Tai Tzu Chang Chuan (The First Emperor of the Sung Dynasty’s Long Fist) and Mi Zong (The Lost Track Style). When Liu was seven, his father hired one of the most famous fighters of the time, Baji/spear master Li Shu Wen who was known as “God’s Spear Li” (神槍李).

Zhang Xiang San 張詳三 (1900 – 1982)

Zhang Xian San born in 1900 in Huang County (today Longkou City) in Shandong District, He is a direct disciple of Ding Zicheng 丁子成 (the sixth-generation descendant of Liuhe Praying Mantis). He was among many top Kung Fu experts to migrate to Taiwan during the war in China. In Chang Kai Shek’s Taiwan he taught his major art, Six Harmony Praying Mantis (Liu He Tang Lang). He was also a Kung Fu brother of Liu Yun Chiao and encouraged him to teach openly. Both men respected each other and Liu would recommend people to Zhang if they showed interest in Liu He Mantis. Zhang also talked some Seven Star Mantis.

In 1926, Ding Zicheng founded the Huangxian National Martial Arts Research Association, and Zhang Xiangsan served as the coach of the association. After arriving in Taiwan in 1949, he initiated the formation of the Taiwan Provincial Martial Arts Association with his friends, and served successively as director, standing director, and acting director.

Dai Shi Zhe 戴士哲

Master Dai Shi Zhe, came from a family of a long martial art heritage, He was born in the year 1941. His training began at age 11 with his family elders who taught him styles of the Southern martial art system, including the Taizu, Crane, Younehan, and Dazhun styles. In 1964, he met Grandmaster Chang Xiang San and began his training in northern martial arts styles. Two years later, Mr. Liang Ji-Tsi introduced him to Grandmaster Liu Yun Qiao.

In 1972, both Grand Master Chang Xiang-San and Liu Yun-Chiao agreed to take Master Tai as an official disciple. He became the first in rank in the Liu He Mantis School and a member of the “Wu” generation of the Wu-Tan Martial Art Development Center.

Yuri Jimenez

He begins practicing martial arts at the age of 12. Tae Kwon Do and Judo (with Armando Chavero and Gerardo Marrazzo respectively).

At the age of 18 he began to practice Kung Fu with Dai Shi Zhe and Fu Shun Nan obtaining in 1989 the black belt in the Wutan styles: Tang Lang Quan, Pachi Quan, Pigua Zhang, Tai Chi Quan, Xin Yi Quan and Bagua Zhang. He used to spend several hours at the School, before and after classes, during this time he was able to learn deeply about the styles, forms and philosophy from the masters. He is accepted as formal disciple of master Dai Shi Zhe.

In 2006 he obtained the International Instructor certificate from the “Chinese Taipei Tang Lang Chuen Association” presented by master Dai Shi Zhe.

In 2006 master Dai Shi Zhe granted him the representation as master of the IUN HAI WU TANG TAIWAN in Venezuela, being able to grant any degree on behalf of the organization.
